CQF

OVERVIEW

A Qualifications Framework is a formalized structure in which learning level descriptors and qualifications are used in order to understand learning outcomes. Thus, the National Qualification Framework (NFQ) is the set of principles, policies and guidelines/criteria which records learner achievement. This enables national recognition of acquired skills and knowledge to be registered, thereby ensuring an integrated system that encourages life-long learning.

The National Training Agency (NTA) and the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) has embarked on a collaborative project to develop and implement a National Qualifications Framework for Trinidad and Tobago. The establishment of the NQF will be based on collaboration with key stakeholders in the education and training environment. It will also utilise the CARICOM Qualifications Framework, approved in March 2017, as a guidance document.

This section will facilitate the disseminate of key articles and documents relating to the NQF.
